Recruiters and career services professionals alike must keep current with laws surrounding diversity recruitment to counsel and recruit college students with confidence.
Attorney Edward Easterly, a specialist in employment law, will help both sides examine the laws related to EEO and nondiscrimination, ADAA, and IRCA. You’ll learn how Title VII and ADEA affect minority-only programs and how the ADAA affects job postings, reference checks, and testing, and what accommodations are required.
In addition, employers will learn how to ensure their recruitment practices comply with the law. Career services will learn how to counsel students and alumni who think they werediscriminated against in the recruitment process, and find out about their liability related to posting jobs or prescreening for “minority-only” candidates.
