The interest in students pursuing an associate degree—who they are, how they see themselves, what their goals are after receiving their degrees, and how competitive they become in the job market after graduating—has never been higher. Fortunately, results from the 2009 NACE Student Survey provides some basis for addressing many of these questions. In the 2009 survey, 3,504 associate degree candidates responded, providing one of the most robust views of how associate degree students approach the job market, their job and employer preferences, and how well they fared in pursuit of a job after getting their degree.
