How can your organization successfully compete for hard-to-find top candidates?
Salary and job security are most important to candidates, according to NACE’s 2009 Student Survey, but, not surprisingly, candidates have a number of issues they consider key to accepting—or rejecting—a job offer. For nearly one-quarter of responding seniors (22.5 percent), comprehensive employer-paid health and dental insurance is a make-or-break issue, while nearly one-fifth (17.8 percent) cite job location close to family as their deal maker/breaker.
NACE’s 2009 Student Survey was conducted from February 19 through April 30, 2009; more than 35,000 students from more than 840 colleges and universities nationwide—including more than 16,500 graduating seniors—participated. Moving On 2009, the report based on results of the survey, is now available.
