Full-time hiring is down, but employers anticipate increasing the number of interns they bring in by 5.8 percent over last year, according to preliminary results of NACE’s 2010 Internship Survey.
The results match up with NACE’s latest hiring and recruiting activity polls, which show reduced hiring but increased activity on campus (see “NACE Index: On-Campus Recruiting Activity Climbs, Hiring Plans Slip").
To date, 208 employers have responded to the survey, which runs January 11 through February 26. Additional results will be reported in Spotlight Online, and the survey report will be available this spring.
