“Developing Your Portfolio” and “Developing Your Resume”—Pratt Institute’s Career Services Office
Pratt Institute’s Career Services Office developed virtual seminars that provide students with job-search and career information.
The Brooklyn, New York, school has developed two virtual seminars—“Developing Your Portfolio” and “Developing Your Resume”—and plans to add more titles in the future. The seminars were designed in response to the 24/7 demand for services from today’s college students. The seminars are accessible on Pratt’s web site. They are designed especially for students involved in the art, design, and architecture worlds, where the visual presentation of resumes and portfolios is essential.
The career services office reports that having a parallel virtual form of a live presentation is beneficial because those who attended can easily access supporting materials, and students who missed any presentations are able to access the seminars.
