- Fonts
Use Type 1 Postscript fonts only and embed fonts in your PDF.
(Truetype, Multiple Master, Type 3, Compact, and other fonts cannot be processed.)

- Color (full-page displays only)
Color must be in CMYK format (Tip: Check your Quark or InDesign document to ensure that all color is in CMYK format before creating the PDF file.) Black and white images should be saved as gray scale.
- Size
Full-page PDF documents must be created exactly 1 inch larger than the height and width of the trim size of the magazine. This can be accomplished by creating the postscript at this size. For a full page in Job Choices, your PDF document should be 9" x 11.5".
- Crop Marks
Your PDF file should show crop marks and bleeds. Crop marks should appear outside the trim area.
- Bleeds
Bleeds can be used on full-page displays only. Bleeds are at least 1/8" side to side and top to bottom; bleeds should not exceed 1/4".
- PDF Proof Required

from the final file.
- For black and white files: A laser proof generated from the final file.

Displays
- Colors available: 4/C process, (spot color: black and magenta or black and cyan), or b/w.
- No metallic inks available.
- To create a full-page ad, the document size should be 8" x 10
1/2". For ads that bleed, the artwork should extend beyond the
document trim size at least 1/8", but not to exceed 1/4".
Do not include slugs within the document. All other information may
be noted on the proof. Do not place ad copy too close to the trim area.
It may be lost when magazines are trimmed. Keep at least a half-inch
border on all sides when placing copy to ensure the ad prints correctly.
