      Are you interested in learning how new legislation related to immigration will impact employment? Would you like to gain strategies and insight for working with international students who wish to stay and work in the United States after graduation?

      Join Mark Rhoads, an experienced immigration attorney who regularly works with NACE members, as he shares insight and advice on legislative and regulatory changes by the Trump administration related to immigration and their impact on employment. Topics will include DACA, proposed changes to H-1B processing, reintroduction of the Bridge Act, Buy American/Hire American, the “Muslim travel ban,” and more. This session is designed to provide practical advice to employers and career services practitioners on the impact of these measures for international students. 

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Identify the greatest challenges for international students within the current landscape;
      • Describe measures to mitigate challenges;
      • Explore new legislation initiatives; and 
      • Examine future predictions impacting employment of international graduates of U.S. universities.
