    • Summary

      As university relations and recruiting professionals, we can create relationships with underclassmen by sharing our company’s brand and exploring opportunities available throughout their college career. At Vanguard, we have created a program to attract and identify early talent called EXPLORE. The one-day event provides students with a realistic job preview; a glimpse into our industry and corporate culture; and a chance to develop professionally through customizable workshops, presentations, and networking forums with professionals across the organization. For employers, the program creates a diverse pool of talent for recruiting relationships and contributes to retention efforts. For attendees, those who spent several hours exploring our organization felt confident in their post-graduate commitment to it.

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Apply a plan to engage stakeholders from across the organization;
      • Construct an early talent identification program and find ways to customize the day to match the needs of the target audience and attract diverse talent to the event; and
      • Identify how to leverage data from the event to not only measure success, but to also improve future recruiting, branding, and event-planning strategies.

      Registration includes three-month, post-event access to the webinar archive.

    • Format

      During this one-hour webinar, the presenter will deliver a synchronized audio and PowerPoint presentation. Participants will have time for live Q&A throughout the program, and may be asked to contribute opinions or feedback via live chat, virtual polling, and other mechanisms.

      Michael Borrelli

      Michael Borrelli, University Relations Specialist, The Vanguard Group

      Mike Borrelli graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he studied international business and Spanish prior to joining Vanguard in 2015. After successful completion of the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses, Borrelli began his career with Vanguard as a client relationship specialist, assisting clients with their investments in both English and Spanish. He transitioned to talent acquisition as a university relations specialist in August 2016. Borrelli is currently pursuing a master’s of business administration at Saint Joseph’s University with a concentration in leadership.

      Lauren Sproles

      Lauren Sproles, University Relations Specialist, The Vanguard Group

      Lauren Sproles studied business management at Eastern University and began working at Vanguard as a client relationship specialist to pursue her passion for helping people. Sproles is now a university relations specialist and has been with Vanguard for about two years. She holds her FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
