    • Summary

      The NACE Assessments for Coaching Intensive II expands on fundamental skills gained during the NACE Assessments for Coaching Intensive I. Using knowledge and understanding of reliability and validity of assessments, coaches will examine client support systems for specific student populations identifying strategies to leverage client’s progression toward goal attainment. Attendees will examine impact of unconscious bias as it relates to the coaching process and client goal attainment. Coaches will construct a coaching plan and demonstrate effective coaching skills using results of client assessment.

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Identify existing factors affecting the coaching process: client support system, attitude and social factors as they relate to specific student populations;
      • Evaluate and identify assessments based on client preference and appropriateness to the coaching plan; and
      • Create a coaching environment that is conducive to exploration and discovery.

      You can receive a full refund less a 5 percent administrative fee if you cancel your registration at least 15 days prior to the beginning of the Assessments for Coaching Intensive I workshop. Your request must be in writing and should be directed to Cancellation requests made less than 15 days prior to the start of the event/program are not refundable. However, a credit equal to the value of the cancelled registration will be issued and will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue.       Becky Doak

      Becky Doak, University of Mount Union

      Becky has spent the last 40 years in the educational field, but found her passion in higher education. As the recently retired executive director of The Center for Student Success and Career Development at the University of Mount Union, Becky facilitated career exploration, graduate school selection, job search strategies and fostered career and experiential learning opportunities with local, national, and international corporations on behalf of Mount Union students. Becky continues to serve as adjunct faculty in The Department of Accounting, Economics, and Business Administration. A 2009 Fulbright Scholar, she oversaw the offices of Academic Support, Accessibility, Career, and Transitions for Mount Union's Success Center. Becky has been a conference presenter at the state, regional, and national levels. She has twice been awarded The N.A.C.E. (National Association of Colleges and Employers) Award of Excellence for Student Publications (2001) and Educational Programming (2005). She served on The National Advisory Committee for The Washington Center for Academic Internships where she was named National Liaison of the Year in 20014. Becky is currently concentrating on and enjoying her work with NACE as well as other consulting ventures. She possesses a B.S. in Education from The University of Findlay and a Master's in Community Counseling from Malone University.

      Knowledge Assessment: Upon successful completion and participation in the NACE Assessments for Coaching Intensive II, named registrants who wish to receive a certificate of completion will be provided instructions to complete the online NACE Assessments for Coaching Intensive II Knowledge Assessment. The assessment consists of 25 multiple-choice and true/false questions.

      Attendees scoring an 88 percent or better on the assessment will receive the NACE Assessments for Coaching Intensive II Certificate of Completion. Successful completion of the workshop and obtaining the certificate of completion can be used in part (7.5 hours) to meet the training requirements for the Board-Certified Coach credential offered through the Center for Credentialing and Education.
