Director-level positions commanded the highest salaries among full-time college relations staff members, according to results of NACE’s 2012 Recruiting Benchmarks Survey.
Salaries for college relations directors averaged $122,050, followed by those for managers ($94,785), recruiters ($64,195), and coordinators ($46,474). (See Figure 1.)
The average salaries show mixed movement from those reported from the 2011 survey. While the average director salary is up approximately 3 percent from that reported in the 2011 survey, the average salaries for all other positions suffered decreases ranging from a high of nearly 5 percent for coordinators to a low of 1.6 percent for managers.
