Daniel Burrus believes in the power of certainty and that, when strategies are based on what we know will happen, there is less risk and greater success. Understanding certainties, he says, will help college graduates and employers operate in the business world of the near future.

“The science of certainty gives us the confidence to make decisions and move forward,” explains Burrus, a futurist and author. “The key is to understand what’s next and to be anticipatory instead of reactionary.”

Burrus has compiled a list of 12 certainties he believes will transform existing careers and create new ones, such as progress in advanced robotics and automation spawning new careers in design, programming, and service, and developments in the 3D web creating new opportunities for graphic artists, designers, and programmers.
