Employers in accounting services and oil and gas extraction hired more than 90 percent of their Class of 2012 recruits from on-campus interviews, according to NACE’s 2012 Recruiting Benchmarks Survey.
Ninety-six percent of accounting services firms’ new college graduate hires came from on-campus interviews, followed by 91 percent of oil and gas extraction’s hires.
Other industries in the top five for percentage of their Class of 2012 hires coming from on-campus interviews were miscellaneous manufacturing (79 percent), management consulting (69 percent), and retail trade (67 percent).
On the other end of the scale, engineering services firms made just 20 percent of their hires from on-campus interviews.
NACE’s 2012 Recruiting Benchmarks Survey was conducted June 15 through August 15, 2012; 242 employer-member organizations took part. Read the executive summary here.
