In Memoriam: Eugene Steele

Spotlight for Recruiting Professionals

Eugene Steele, who served on the board of the College Placement Council and as president of the Midwest College Placement Association, died on April 17, 2012. He was 83 years old. 

Steele worked for the 3M Corporation in Minnesota for 37 years, including positions in college placement.  

He graduated from and served as a trustee of Hamline University, and received an M.A. from the University of Maryland.
