Among Class of 2013 graduating seniors who have applied for a job, 45.9 percent have received at least one offer and, of those, 63.9 percent have accepted an offer, according to NACE’s Class of 2013 Student Survey.
The offer rate for this year's class represents a slight dip from the 47.7 percent offer rate for the Class of 2012, while the acceptance rate nudged up from the 62.5 percent reported last year.
Meanwhile, the percentage of Class of 2013 graduating seniors with jobs prior to graduation decreased incrementally to 29.3 percent from the 29.8 percent posted by their Class of 2012 counterparts.
Several individual majors for Class of 2013 bachelor’s degree graduates posted strong numbers in these areas:
NACE’s Class of 2013 Student Survey was conducted from February 15, 2013, to April 30, 2013. The survey yielded more than 38,000 responses from college students, including 9,215 from seniors earning bachelor’s degrees. Data for this story reflect responses from these seniors. The full survey report will be released in the fall of 2013.
