John Steele, who was a pioneer and leader in the field of college career planning, recruitment, and employment, died on October 5, 2013. He was 96 years old.
Steele retired in 1982 after a long career that included work at Boston College, Harvard Business School, and The Ohio State University. He was also instrumental in the formation of NACE, then known as the College Placement Council (CPC), and served as president of the CPC’s precursor in 1953-54.
