Over the past year, the unemployment rate has dipped for new college graduates (from 8.8 percent to 8.6 percent), while recent graduates (ages 25-34) saw their unemployment rate rise slightly (from 4.8 to 5.1 percent), according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. (See Figure 1)
