Mastering Partnerships on Your Campus

  • Fee: $69 (member); $119 (nonmember);

Summary

The career center at the University of North Texas established key campus partnerships in an effort to better educate students on the services available at their institution. In doing so, they have created quality programming to reach a wide variety of students. Some of the programming that benefitted from their collaborative efforts include growing the LGBT Fair into a Diversity Fair, which included key stakeholders in the offices of Veterans Services, the Multicultural Center, The Pride Alliance, Spiritual Life, and Disability Accommodation.

The University of North Texas also instituted a business career fair preparation initiative by working closely with the College of Business to train students how to better prepare for a major career fair. Webinar participants will learn how The University of North Texas has grown its campus partner base, and how this growth has improved the quality and value of campus events.

Following this program, you will be able to:

  • Recall the programming needs of students on campus;
  • Outline a plan to invite other offices on campus to work together to build programming; and
  • Identify collaborative ways to continue relationship growth with other offices on campus.

Presenter: Amy Ferman, Associate Director for Employer Development and Outreach, University of North Texas
