Professional Development Advisory Commttee

Committee Charge: The Professional Development Advisory Committee partners with and advises the NACE staff to understand and appropriately address the professional development needs of the organization. The Professional Development Advisory Committee will achieve the following outcomes: • Build on the work of the 2013-14 Committee, in combination with the MYB findings, to advise the NACE staff on programming around professional competency development for both career services and recruiting professionals. o With consideration of insights gained from member survey and evaluation input, the MYB study and external benchmarks, work with the NACE professional development team to develop and submit by January 5, 2015 recommendations for a three-year plan of related professional development objectives and strategies. Focus on short, direct, relevant content that is seen as relevant content that is perceived as attractive, business centric, and applicable to NACE member clients o Collaborate with the NACE staff to define competency tracks/topics (social, data, branding, CRM, budgeting, sales, customer experience, etc.) and delivery platforms (in-person, virtual, grab and go for employers, article center, etc.). o o Collaborate with NACE staff to develop a regular process for identification of emerging and salient professional development needs for NACE members and effective delivery platforms. o In consultation with the NACE staff, consider the feasibility of a standalone “Essentials for Recruiters” conference and make related recommendations by November 1, 2014. o Work with the NACE staff to ensure SHRM, NBCC, and other professional association credits are available for NACE professional development activities.
