D&I in Theory and Practice: Designing an Inclusive Internship Program
Description:
Fostering a diverse entry-level work force sits atop many university recruiters’ priority lists. But, what will best serve candidates from underrepresented populations? And how can we get broad-based buy-in across our organizations for initiatives that drive measurable change? Participants will join a discussion on Fidelity Investments’ recently launched diversity-focused internship program. Evan Martino (IRC) will lay out research into what makes for the most successful diversity and inclusion programs. Then, Catalina Hernandez (Fidelity Investments) will recount the process of designing and implementing the program’s pilot. Finally, we will open discussion into how the program can evolve, and how you might do something similar.
