Blueprint: Progressive, Four-Year Curriculum for Career Management Success With the NACE Competencies
Description:
Eight years ago the Office of Personal and Career Development (OPCD) developed mandatory coursework for business students. Spring 20178, the OPCD added an assistant director, curricula; reevaluated/redesigned course content; and created a detailed blueprint that focuses on curricula consistency, NACE career competencies, more student engagement, instructor training, and continuous assessment, while adjusting to a student body that has grown 50 percent the last five years. The series is called DARE to….Discover, Articulate, Refine, and Execute. The DARE to Blueprint encompasses content and scale—driving forces for classroom success. All assignments are linked to the eight NACE Career Competencies; students connect the dots between class content and employers’ expectations.
