Humanities Works 2.0: Faculty and Career Center Work Group
Description:
This presentation reports on an innovative partnership at Miami University between career services and the humanities faculty. Now in its fourth year, the Humanities Works Partnership brings these groups together to educate both and to improve career awareness, training, and use of resources among humanities students. This traditionally hard-to-reach population is highly dependent on faculty support and prompting. The project empowers faculty to promote the value of humanities degrees in the contemporary workplace. It also educates faculty on how to better prepare their students for career readiness in partnership with the career center.
