Career Education Courses at Colleges and Universities: Research Findings and Course Considerations
Description:
Despite the prevalence of credit-bearing career education courses (CECs) at colleges and universities, few resources have been created to assist the career practitioners charged with creating, revising, and teaching them. Thus, the purpose of this session is to enhance career practitioners’ knowledge of recent research findings regarding CECs at colleges and universities, as well as to inform the design, development, and delivery of these credit-bearing career interventions in postsecondary education settings. Ultimately, session attendees will outline a plan to develop and/or improve CECs at their institution, as well as receive a comprehensive list of CEC research studies published between 2000–2018.
