In 2010 Google discovered that women were less likely than men to self-nominate for promotion. Google found that with a small nudge—emailing these findings to all —the rate of women self-nominating went up and now the gap has closed. This is exactly what #IamRemarkable is about: pointing out the issue and allowing a safe space to practice self promotion. We want to build a place where everyone feels comfortable sharing ideas and opinions—and is empowered to grow their careers.
