Making ConneXions: Equipping Innovative Students for 21st Century Careers
Description:
The Career Pathways Initiative, funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. in collaboration with the United Negro College Fund, aims to improve the ability of institutions to serve their two primary stakeholders: students who rely on institutions to prepare them for life after graduation and employers who look for well-prepared college graduates. To simultaneously serve both students and employers, four institutions have deepened their support for students by: more intentionally integrating education and career preparation through stronger, more effective internships, career counseling, etc.; increasing awareness of professional job market requirements; and reconsidering knowledge 21st century students need in the workforce of tomorrow.
