Match Mentorship: Launching a Mentor Program Within a Large Liberal Arts College
Description:
Alumni love to give back! Alumni love to pay forward! Great…but how do you actually make that happen and connect your institution’s alumni with your current students in a meaningful way? Participants in this session will learn how a Midwestern land grant university, with a very large liberal arts college, converted the idea of a few passionate alumni into a year-long mentor program that helps students strengthen their career readiness competencies. You’ll learn about the key collaborations that were needed for success, the triumphs that were achieved, the hurdles that had to be overcome, and everything in between!
