Beyond Internships: Building Competencies for the Future of Work
Description:
Is one internship enough? Though internships are a high-impact practice and build work-readiness competencies, what happens in and around the internship? Learn from a College with a decentralized work-integrated learning structure in which students, on average, complete more than 10 structured work learning experiences over four years. These include start ups, apprenticeships, research projects, community engagement activities, and campus work--all including advisor interactions, structured mentoring, reflective projects, and learning evaluations. Want to learn a few pieces of this that you can take back to your campus? Come to this interactive workshop focused on building a practical toolkit for your work.
