Progressive Career Competency Instruction for Underrepresented Populations
Description:
How can career services professionals improve career readiness for students who they only see for a short time, especially if students come from disadvantaged backgrounds with barriers to success? Learn about a model for improving career-readiness competencies for disadvantaged populations that is progressive, innovative, and achievable. Data and instructional techniques from a six-year, Kâ16 career readiness pilot will be shared. Best practices will be offered with takeaways that can be applied to a variety of settings. The session will be a resource for practitioners looking to partner across secondary, community college, and four-year campuses.
