Empowering Academic Advising Partners Using the NACE Coaching Fundamentals and Beyond
Description:
Career development occurs all around us–in career centers, throughout our campuses, and beyond…but how do we help students receive high-quality information when we are not there? At the University of Illinois, all students meet with a dedicated team of academic advisors, 94% of whom report having career conversations with students on a weekly basis. We can vastly expand the reach of career services by empowering colleagues with tools for meaningful career conversations. Learn about our Career Certificate Program for Academic Advisors, which teaches career coaching theory and application. This session introduces a 10-week program, along with program evaluation results.
