Developing Faculty Partners: A Design-Thinking Approach to Faculty Engaging Underrepresented Students
Description:
Learning Outcomes: Gain an understanding of two university career centers’ approach to addressing challenges faced by many first-generation, low-income, and (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) BIPOC-identifying students. Learn how to adapt approaches to effectively, meaningfully engage faculty at one’s own campus through engagement with career services practitioners in similar settings. Generate ideas for one’s own campus adaptation by listening and questioning concepts shared by other career services contemporaries in the audience during large group sharing.
