Innovation to Build Access and Equity From College-to-Career Employment Pipeline
Description:
As leaders of the campus-to-career connection, it is vital we evolve, innovate, and break down barriers. We need new approaches to career-connected learning to open access to all, no matter income, race, lived experience, or competing responsibilities at home or in one’s community. Learning Objectives: Understand injustice and inequity throughout the college-to-career pathways, how to overcome it, and build more just environments and stronger workforce and communities. Discover how skills and experiences of today will be different from those tomorrow. How does higher education keep pace with the employers’ expectations and the changes in the economy? Explore the pathways for greater access, equity, and preparation for learners to build skills and create connections into career pathways, understanding the importance of flexibility, adaptability, and representation.
