What Does Talking about Career in the Classroom Have to Do With Equity
Description:
To advance diversity, equity, and inclusion and examine the barriers to access for first-generation students, students of color, and low-income students, faculty and instructors can help by adding career content into their courses. UConn has been working with faculty to help equalize access to career information and planning for all students. Learning Objectives: Understand how working with faculty on integrating career into courses can advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the career space. Create a variety of career resources for faculty to use to integrate into their courses. Develop a process to work with faculty on career integration at their own institution.
