Description:

Students today face the age-old problem where ‘you can’t get the job without experience’ even when applying for internships. By using assessment tools prior to the internship, students can learn to identify and become aware of their strengths. Universities and employers can use this as a coaching tool to set a student up for success as they enter their internship. This session focuses on the development and use of a readiness rubric to assess key predictors of students’ success in internship placements. Participants will leave with the knowledge to create a similar readiness rubric for their campus or organization.
