    • Summary

      Join this session to hear the inception, creation, and distribution of career development modules for use in eLearning Commons (eLC), the online learning management system for the University of Georgia (UGA). The UGA Career Center provides modules that UGA faculty and instructors can request for eLC courses to assist with the integration of career development within the classroom. The modules represent a tool to strengthen faculty relations and scale career information to a greater number of students. Each module presents online resources, informational videos, and potential action items in a self-paced format. Discussion and audience exercises will reflect on current faculty engagement needs, possible ideas for module content, and methods for distributing this kind of service to faculty and students.

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Apply background context for the inception of career development modules by reviewing the content and results of needs assessments;
      • Address the method for creating and distributing career development modules for online learning; and
      • Share successes, challenges, and goals for future improvement on this kind of career service.
