Join Jared Lyon, the National President & CEO of Student Veterans of America (SVA), to learn how to understand the needs of veterans in supporting their career needs. After the SVA government affairs team discovered the switch to virtual learning across the country would prevent many students from receiving housing allowances and tuition payments, the team acted to build a coalition and draft a solution. In only 12 days, a bill was passed to protect more than 500,000 student veterans and military-affiliated students across the country, and $6.2 billion of G.I. Bill funds that would have been at risk. Learn how SVA supports all veterans through their transition from the military, educational advancement, and career growth, and now, have done so through a pandemic.
