Facilitated by NACE Coaching Faculty, this self-paced, on-demand workshop provides strategies and best practices to conduct effective and ethical coaching sessions for clients. Attendees will learn strategies to create an environment that supports mutual respect and learn methods to communicate effectively during a coaching session. Attendees will use empowerment and positive reinforcement to create a coaching alliance.

This workshop is available virtually through the NACE Learning Platform. Following program completion, a one-hour, virtual debrief will be scheduled with a NACE Coaching Faculty member to review and assess the program assignments. The online knowledge assessment may be taken after the debrief.
Participants can access virtual modules through the NACE Learning Platform.
Upon completion of the prework contact NACE Professional Development at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule your faculty debrief. Upon verification of completion, NACE will coordinate and communicate details related to the faculty debriefing session.
Participants may immediately complete the associated Knowledge Assessment following participation in the required faculty debrief. There is no additional cost for the faculty debrief session or Knowledge Assessment completion. At this time, all NACE programming is delivered in English.

Self-paced, virtual programming provides the opportunity for individuals to complete programming requirements leading to the Board Certified Coach credential.
Pamela Basheer currently is the assistant director for experiential learning in the Office of Career Services at North Carolina Agricultural &Technical State University (N.C. A&T). She has about 20 years of experience in higher education with a specialty in the areas of career and professional development, employer relations and student development. Areas of competencies within Career Services include but not limited to Training and Development, Marketing, Relationship Building, Creating Policies and Procedures, Assessment Administration, Data Analysis, Personnel Management, Strategic Planning, and Project Management.
She holds a master's of Science degree in Counseling and bachelor's of Science in Education both received from North Carolina A&T State University. In addition to her experience, she serves on the Board of Visitors for N.C. A&T. She is also a NACE coaching faculty member, a certified True Color and Business Professional Etiquette facilitator.

Knowledge Assessment: Upon successful completion and participation in the NACE Coaching Fundamentals workshop, named registrants who wish to receive a certificate of completion will be provided instructions to complete the online NACE Coaching Fundamentals Knowledge Assessment. The assessment consists of 25 multiple-choice and true/false questions.
Attendees scoring an 88 percent or better on the assessment will receive the NACE Coaching Fundamentals Certificate of Completion. Successful completion of the workshop and obtaining the certificate of completion can be used in part (4 hours) to meet the training requirements for the Board Certified Coach credential offered through the Center for Credentialing and Education.
