Petroleum engineering majors were the top-paid among Class of 2014 engineering graduates at the bachelor’s degree level, according to results of NACE’s April 2014 Salary Survey.
Petroleum engineering majors earned the highest average starting salary at $95,300, followed by aerospace/aeronautical/astronautical engineering majors at $67,000. (See Figure 1.) In all, Class of 2014 graduates in nine engineering majors earned average starting salaries that exceed $60,000.
