  • College-to-Career: Innovative Partnership

  • Summary

    Do you want an innovative way to increase employer touchpoints by the thousands? How can you engage employers to create cutting-edge partnerships?

    Over the past several years, the Illinois Institute of Technology has used micro-internships to build and deepen relationships with employers as part of its effort to improve student outcomes and respond to departmental budget cuts. Grasp how these micro-internships have raised awareness of students to employers, leveraged alumni, and ensured that students can use and demonstrate soft skills effectively. Join this webinar to explore the strengths and weaknesses of developing a plan and learn how your office could benefit from the development of a similar program.

    Following this program, you will be able to:

    • Appraise cost-neutral solutions to employer engagement that will have immediate and measurable impact on your offices and schools;
    • Understand the logistical and legal hurdles that may need to be overcome to get partnerships like this started; and
    • Formulate innovative ways of engaging alumni contacts.
