Industry and Legal Voices: DACA, Data, and the Spirit of the Law
Description:
With President Trump’s announcement intending to end the DACA program and subsequent legal challenges, many DACAmented students (and some employers) are left wondering what professional options remain. Similarly, career center professionals want to know how to best advise these students as they navigate the application and interview processes. This panel discussion will feature the results of an updated NACE distributed employer survey examining hiring practices and employer preferences related specifically to DACA. Panelist perspectives include employer, career center, and immigration attorney approaches to how DACAmented students should respond to tricky questions such as if they will require sponsorship and more.
