Career opportunities and employer relations (COER) at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) created a Professional Headshot Station for students to strengthen their online presence by assisting them in obtaining a professional quality headshot. According to LinkedIn, LinkedIn profiles with professional headshots get 21 times more profile views and up to 36 times more messages. The COER Professional Headshot Station provides students the opportunity to take a professional headshot for their LinkedIn, Handshake profile, and any other online platform to further brand themselves and provide a more competitive edge in today’s marketplace. The Headshot station is designed to be completely self-served, and it is equipped with professional lighting and equipment. Students are able to easily adjust their own lighting levels and take as many photos as they wish, and once they get a shot they like, they can quickly edit and email it to themselves directly from the station! The COER hopes to continually provide resources and services to students and alumni of Missouri S&T that encourages the most successful transition to a professional career after completing their degree, and we hope that the new Professional Headshot Station will encourage just that!
