An Internship Scholarship Strategy: Supporting Local Businesses and Diversifying the Student Experience
Description:
Participants will discuss the relationship among an internship scholarship program and successful career placement, impactful student experience, and increased community engagement, while considering the social impact on students and companies provided with a strong internship scholarship program. Learning Objectives: Understand the relationship between an internship scholarship program and increasing First Destination data through targeting athletes, transfers, veterans, and nontraditional students; effective and successful student experience; and increased community. Gain tangible objectives and goals in building or expanding an internship scholarship program with consideration of a variety of internal and external factors. Engage in a conversation about the social effect on students and companies provided with a strong internship scholarship program.
