Craig Schmidt is the assistant director of the career development program at the University of California, San Diego's Career Services Center. He has more than 20 years of experience as a career counselor, workshop presenter, and program manager. He is an original member of the UC San Diego Student Affairs Successful Student Services Training team responsible for developing and presenting customer service oriented training for new student affairs employees; a developer and instructor for the UC San Diego Career Services Center’s "Introduction to Career Development” for-credit course; and co-author of a chapter in e-Portfolios: Emerging Opportunities for Student Affairs (Jossey-Bass, 2007). Schmidt holds a master’s in educational counseling from the University of Colorado, Boulder. His bachelor’s degree is in psychology from Maryville University in St. Louis.
