Current Benchmarks: School Selection for Intern Hiring

Spotlight Online for Career Services Professionals, March 3, 2010

Among organizations taking part in NACE’s 2010 Internship Survey, experience with the school topped the list of criteria used to identify schools to target for internship hiring.

Other key criteria include the:

  • Academic majors offered at the school
  • Quality of the school’s programs
  • Location of the school
  • Success of the school’s alumni within the organization

More than 230 employers took part in the survey, which ran January 11 through February 26. Additional results will be reported in Spotlight Online, and the survey report will be available this spring.
