NACE Membership

The National Association of Colleges and Employers was established in 1956 to build a bridge between America's colleges and universities and their graduates, and the world of work. Membership in the association will give you the tools to develop professionally, save you precious time and resources, and best of all, help you give your graduates an edge in the marketplace. Organizational Membership—College

($380 per year)
The NACE Board of Directors approved a dues increase to $400 effective July 1, 2008.

All Organizational Memberships with a July 1 start date will be billed at $400.

Available to career services offices at educational institutions granting associate, baccalaureate, and/or advanced degrees. This includes international colleges and universities. High schools are also welcome to take a membership.

Organizational Members Receive the Following Benefits*

Job Choices (300 copies)—Provide your students with the premier, multi-volume occupational directory—comprehensive information on employers plus career planning and job-search tips. Distributed annually to nearly 1 million job seekers (students, graduates, and alumni). Members receive up to 300 volumes free, and may order additional volumes at a nominal cost. Issued in August. Note: Distribution of Job Choices is based on membership as of May 31 and receipt of Job Choices order form.

  • Job Choices: Diversity Edition—A job-search guide with basic information on the job-search process, including resume and interview preparation tips, and job-search strategies, plus articles and ads directed at the issues and concerns of diverse populations.
  • Job Choices for Business and Liberal Arts Students—Offers basic information on the job-search process, including resume and interview preparation tips, and job-search strategies, plus career opportunities in administration, business, and other nontechnical disciplines.
  • Job Choices for Science, Engineering, & Technology Students —Offers basic information on the job-search process, including resume and interview preparation tips, and job-search strategies, plus career opportunities in engineering, science, computers, healthcare, and other technical fields.

Membership Directory—Is a searchable online data base of more than 1,200 HR offices and more than 1,800 college and university career services centers. Searchable by contact name, organization, or geographic location. Find employers by number of annual hires, number of employees, and number of employees in specific locations. Gain visibility for your career and job fairs as career fairs are searchable by location, date, and/or keyword. The online directory is updated daily.

NACElink®—Give your students access to more jobs and more employers through NACElink Connect, a part of the NACElink web-based recruiting system. Through NACElink Connect, you'll provide your students with access to job postings and employers; the ability to create and store resumes; and the ability to apply for jobs online. NACElink Connect requires little technical expertise (you simply add a link to your existing web site); offers you a desk top that is branded with the name of your school; and is nonexclusive, so you can give your students access to more jobs and more employers without having to forgo other resources. To register for the NACElink Connect service, please complete the registration form.

NACE Communities—Knowledge-based groups open to staff members in NACE member offices. Each Community is organized for discussion within a specific subject area with online discussions targeted to the needs and interests of the subscribers. Choose your Community group according to your professional interests and needs.

One e-Membership—Each organizational membership includes one e-Membership, enabling you to provide one additional staff member at your organization with online access to the members-only areas of NACEWeb. This employee can be at another location.

NACE Journal—A quarterly publication that reports the findings of relevant research and highlights innovative practices used by your peers. You can use them to benchmark your office’s practices. Sample an article from the NACE Journal.

Spotlight Online—A bi-weekly e-mail newsletter that brings you just-in-time tools, tips, and tactics that target career services interests and needs, zeroes in on issues, trends, facts, and stats, and offers practical information to make your program more effective.

NACEWeb (www.naceweb.org)—A comprehensive 24/7 online site featuring career assessment tools and career course syllabi, instant entry-level salary information, research findings, and a host of other resources to guide and support your efforts. Organizational membership includes access for the primary member contact and one additional contact at any location. Organizational membership also allows access to “members-only” resources: the online Information Center, organized by topic, and communities for connecting with colleagues in real time.

Information Center—An online source of statistical and other information on career services practices and operations. You can preview the table of contents for the Career Services or the College Relations and Recruiting areas.

Salary Survey—A quarterly report to help you bring your students’ expectations in line with actual starting salary offers—at the bachelor’s, masters’ and doctoral levels. Regional and special customized reports are available for purchase by members. Get a free Salary Survey Preview Edition.

Job Outlook—A forecast of employers’ hiring plans and projections to help you counsel students. Issued as yearly online report, plus a preview and update.

JobWeb (www.jobweb.com)—A web site designed to assist students in planning and launching their careers.

Professional Standards for College & University Career Services—A resource for developing and delivering high-quality career services and providing a framework for measuring the effectiveness of the career services function.

Principles for Professional Conduct—A guide to ethical practices in career planning, placement, and recruitment, including recommended procedures for challenging questionable practices and resolving problems concerning ethical behavior among the parties involved.

Each organizational membership includes one e-membership.

Available to an individual employed at a school that holds organizational membership at any location worldwide. (Note: You can look up your organizational membership in the Membership Gallery.)

($175 per year)

Ideal for the small college or anyone interested in the career development and employment of college graduates. Receive the core benefits and you select other benefits to fit your needs. For instance, add a subscription to the NACE Journal for only $50 (member rate), as well as discounts on all NACE products and services. E-Members Receive the Following Benefits: *

Student Membership
($50 per year)

Available to students pursuing a career in either career services or human resources/staffing if the student’s college/university career center maintains a NACE Organizational Membership at the same location. Criteria requires student to be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours per term, not be employed full time, and be sponsored by a full-time career services staff member.
