JobWeb Specifications and Requirements
(This document refers to IAB standards.)
All ads should be submitted as they are to be displayed. They should not require any editing, clipping, or additional white-space specifications. Please note: All material must be delivered five business days prior to scheduled start date to allow us to ensure your advertising materials are working properly on JobWeb.
Virtual Career Fair
- The name of your organization links to a PDF of your choice. Your PDF may include anything you would like to post in our Virtual Career Fair. Use your most recent recruiting flyer, advertisement, or your display ad from NACE’s Job Choices magazine. If you would like students to be able to print out your PDF the suggested size is 8 ½” x 11”.
- Include contact information: Include a URL link directly to your web site and an e-mail address for job seekers to contact you.
Requirements
- Display-ready logo, maximum size: 250 x 150 IMU. View Sample
- Company name as you wish it to be displayed.
- The URL link you wish to use.
- Fully-composed PDF. If you would like students to be able to print out your PDF the suggested size is 8 ½” x 11”.
Featured Employer
- Your logo is prominently displayed within the Virtual Career Fair box on the JobWeb home page. A link takes students from your logo to your PDF flyer or directly to your web site.
Requirements
- Display-ready logo, maximum size: 150 x 140 IMU. View Sample
- URL link you wish to use or a fully-composed PDF.
Banners
Requirements for Animated/Flat Image Ads
The formats we support for ads include: .jpg, .gif, .swf, .wmv, .mov, .mpg. The maximum file size allowed: 35 Kb.

- Home page banner (below the newsletter subscription area): 468 x 60 IMU View Sample
- Home page banner (lower right of page, within the advertisements area):
120 x 240 IMU - (Vertical Banner) or View Sample
125 x 125 IMU - (Square banner) View Sample
- JobWeb’s Resume & Interviews page banner:
180 x 150 IMU – (vertical banner) or View Sample
120 x 240 IMU – (horizontal banner) View Sample
Ads Containing Animation/Video***
- The maximum animation time allowed: 20 seconds.
- Please use a frame rate of: 15 or 30 fps.
- The maximum video data rate: 700 kbps.
- All videos must include stop, play/replay, close, and audio control buttons.
The career videos are located in the upper right-hand corner of the JobWeb home page or in the upper left-hand corner of the Resumes & Interviews page.
Career videos should be accompanied with a stationary image (180 x 150 IMU View Sample ) to be used as a “click through” point for the video. The video may reside on your web site*** or be placed on JobWeb, per your preference. All videos must include stop, play/replay, close, and audio control buttons
Career Video Requirements
- A stationary image (180 x 150 IMU) to be used as a “click through” point for the video
- JPG or GIF files with a maximum width of 180 x 150 IMU
- Supported video formats: .mov, .mpg, and .wmv.
- Suggested video length: two to five minutes.
- Video Sizes:
- Standard 4:3 video
- 320 x 240
- 640 x 480
- Standard 16:9 video
- 320 x 180
- 640 x 360
- Standard 4:3 video
- Frame rate: 15 or 30 fps
- Encoded Bit Rate: minimum 200Kbps
- Maximum video data rate: 600 kbps
- Maximum file size (if located on JobWeb): 5Mb
***Videos that are not being hosted by the NACE server do not need to conform to the file size or other video specifications. If a video is NOT being hosted, the advertiser need only supply NACE with a flat image (of specified dimensions) and the complete URL of the video.
