    Explore NACE Career Readiness Competencies to advocate for career services to leverage positive student outcomes. Discuss current trends and predictions related to career readiness and the impact for First Destination while using research based coaching strategies to move the student through the learning process.

    Following this program, you will be able to:

    Imants Jaunarajs, Assistant Dean of Students Career & Leadership Development Center, Ohio University

    Imants Jaunarajs serves as the assistant dean for the career & leadership development center at Ohio University. With over twelve years of experience in university career centers, Imants is a creator of innovative and outcome driven career development best practices. Imants is the creator of the cutting edge theoretical model Brain Based Career Development.

    He graduated from NACE’s Leadership Advancement Program and NCDA’s Leadership Academy and regularly is asked to consult and lead trainings on career and leadership development. In the fall of 2012, Imants led the merger of “Career Services” with the “Leadership Center” to create the Career & Leadership Development Center. Starting with only one staff member, Imants strategically developed the new career services paradigm and currently oversees a staff of 12 professionals and 35 graduate and undergraduate student employees. Imants earned a bachelor of arts from Earlham College and master of arts from Western Michigan University.

    Continuing Education Credit Hours:
    NBCC – 5 clock hours; Credit will be issued to the named registrant and/or colleagues from the same organization upon verification of attendance by the named registrant.

    NBCC NACE has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5161. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NACE is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
