Positions in software design and development received a substantially higher average starting salary offer than the other positions receiving top offers, according to results of NACE’s Winter 2010 Salary Survey.
Graduates moving into software design and development received an average starting salary of $70,569, more than $11,000 higher than their classmates in project engineering, who saw an average offer of $59,477. Jobs in the engineering and financial services industries were most prevalent on the list of the top-10 highest-paying jobs for 2009-10 bachelor’s degree graduates.
