Traditional internships have never been more popular—or more closely scrutinized. Do internships provide the educational and career value we assert? Do unpaid internships exploit students? What are the implications of recent legal and legislative actions? What is the future of internships?

Join the conversation and gain new insights from a panel of experienced professionals, representing diverse perspectives.

NACE Excursion - SOLD OUT

Registration fee: $40 per person
Visit three locations in San Antonio to get fresh insight into how to think about strategic planning, vision, and mission. At each site, you’ll investigate cues, design, concepts, and processes that you can integrate into your own planning. You’ll also get how-tos so that you can design an excursion for your own team.

Based on the work of Jim Gilmore and Joe Pine, the NACE Excursion combines learning and fun!

We’ll provide the water; you need to provide comfortable walking shoes (excursion locations cover 1.3 miles), and a willingness to share your insights and recommendations.

Implementing the First-Destination Surveys Standards

Presenters: Manny Contomanolis, chair, NACE First-Destination Surveys Team, and panel.
Join a panel of early adopters who are using NACE’s new standards and protocols to collect, analyze, and report graduate outcomes. Take part to get insight into gaining buy-in from other offices on campus, including institutional research; find out how your peers are allocating resources to achieve the knowledge rate goal; and learn about coping strategies others are using to overcome and avoid problems.

Meet the Award Winners/Great Ideas Showcase

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so take this opportunity to flatter your peers—by adapting their great ideas for your own program! Meet with NACE award winners and finalists, check out their top-notch programs and solutions, and get ideas you can adapt and implement.

Diamonds and Denim celebration

Save the date and pull out your tiara! Join your conference-going colleagues at “Diamonds and Denim,” a Texas-size bash. A live country band will get you up and dancing. Wear your jeans, your pearl-snap shirt, and your best boots. More details to come!
