      • How does the changing landscape impact the nature and work of career services and university relations and recruiting in the future?
      • How will this affect career services- employer relationships?
      • What is your organization doing to prepare for change? What is your role in leading change within your organization and with your stakeholders?
      • What can NACE do to support your change efforts?

      12:15 p.m. Final Thoughts/Discussion

      Participants engage in a review of the morning’s insights and ideas as a foundation for developing action plans in preparing for the future.

      Marilyn Mackes

      Marilyn Mackes, Executive Director, NACE

      Marilyn Mackes leads an organization of more than 3,100 employing organizations and educational institutions engaged in the career development and employment process of college students and alumni. In her extensive interactions with recruiting professionals, leaders in business and education, and the media, she addresses such issues as employment, salary trends, benchmarking, best practices, candidate expectations, and effective recruiting strategies. On behalf of the association, she advocates on issues affecting the profession. Most recently, she presented NACE's national standards and protocols to key public policy makers, including the White House Domestic Policy Council; legislators, including the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee; and relevant associations, including the American Council on Education, Council on Graduate Schools, and American Society for Engineering Education.

      A frequent speaker and facilitator, Mackes is regularly tapped by the national media for interviews, and has appeared on ABC Nightly News, CNN Headline News, MSNBC, CBS, and The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.
