Code of Conduct

Let's create a positive experience

At NACE, we believe our events should be spaces where everyone feels welcome, safe, and inspired. To make that possible, we all commit to engaging with respect, care, and integrity.

What this means at events

Our events are designed to be safe, productive, and welcoming for all. This includes attendees, speakers, exhibitors, volunteers, staff, service providers, and anyone else participating.

We have zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment. If you ever experience or witness behavior that doesn’t align with our values, please let us know so we can take action. You can make a report by emailing Rashonda Legault, Director of Education + Events, at [email protected]. You can report anonymously or share your contact information.

A few ground rules

To help us all stay focused on learning and connecting, participants may not:

  • Record, stream, or share event content without permission
  • Disrupt sessions, exhibits, or activities
  • Post or present promotional or sales materials in public event spaces
  • Take screenshots of Q&A chats or private discussion areas

Unacceptable behavior

Here are examples of behaviors that don’t belong at our events:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form
  • Verbal or physical abuse
  • Hurtful or offensive comments, gestures, or images related to personal identity, including race, ethnicity, gender, orientation, age, religion, nationality, ability, socioeconomic background, or appearance
  • Inappropriate use of sexual or graphic content in any format
  • Stalking, threatening, or otherwise making others feel unsafe

Accountability

We reserve the right to take action if someone violates our Code of Conduct. This may include removal from the event without refund and/or restriction from future events.

Our goal is simple: every NACE event will be a place to exchange ideas, encourage learning, and allow everyone to feel they belong.
