The 2018 Recruiting Benchmarks Survey Report explores key aspects of university recruiting, such as the structure, staffing, focus, and execution of the efforts, and provides outcome-oriented benchmarks and metrics. This report also compares current results to those of previous years to offer insight into trends in recruiting.
Highlights include:
- Half of employers’ overall full-time, entry-level hires were recent college graduates.
- The average annual recruiting budget for the 2016-17 recruiting year was $491,303.
- Employers allocated the most funds toward recruiting trips. This area also had the biggest increase from the previous recruiting year in terms of allotted funding.
- Career fairs, corporate websites, and campus information sessions were employers’ top-used and top-ranked branding techniques.
- Nearly 90 percent of employers had diversity efforts within their recruiting programs.
- On average, the time from a job posting to an interview was 38.2 days; the average time from an interview to an offer was 24.5 days
